A San Francisco Bay Area Native, Meagan Ahern first began her dance training at Menlo Park Academy of Dance and the dance department of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. She then continued her training at The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College SUNY as a Composition Concentration. She graduated with a BFA from SUNY Purchase CoD in May 2019. Meagan is also a graduate in the Licentiate Royal Academy of Dance program in London, trained as a certified ballet teacher under the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. Since 2014, she has been a substitute teacher for several schools around the Bay Area, including Alonzo King Lines Dance Center, Menlo Park Academy of Dance, Ayako’s School of Ballet, and Jazz Camp West. She has also been a teacher’s assistant for San Francisco Ballet School, Alonzo King Lines Dance Center, and Menlo Park Academy of Dance. Meagan has recently moved to NYC and was the founding teacher for Eglevsky Ballet’s Jump Start! Outreach Program.
Distinguished by her energetic and creative approach, Christy Ahn inspires her students to reach their fullest potential. Her dedication to dance and teaching has been a powerful force throughout her professional journey.
Ms. Ahn holds a Master of Arts in Dance from York University and is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School Teacher Training Program, both in Toronto. She is accredited by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD RTS) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (AISTD) in National Dance. She has earned high-level achievements, including RAD Advanced II with Associate status (ARAD), Cecchetti Advanced I, and National Dance Advanced II. Ms. Ahn received her early training in the Vaganova method in Seoul, Korea. Her in-depth knowledge of the Vaganova, RAD, and Cecchetti methods allows her to design a strong, technically sound curriculum for her students. She is also certified in Pilates Mat Work through Power Pilates in New York City and continues to enhance her expertise.
In 2009, she completed the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, earning certification in Primary through Level 3. Ms. Ahn has developed her own ballet curriculum for an after-school ballet program for students in grades K–5 at a public school. She also holds specialized workshops, including pointe intensives.
A highly qualified and well-rounded educator, Ms. Ahn specializes in ballet technique, pointe work, variations, repertoire, and conditioning (including Pilates and stretching) for both male and female students of all ages and levels. She has taught in various dance schools across Korea, Canada, and the United States since 1993 and remains deeply passionate about her work.
Anabel Alpert has danced professionally with The Sarasota Ballet, Ballet Austin, and the American Contemporary Ballet, performing featured roles in works by George Balanchine, Matthew Neenan and Sir Frederick Ashton. She graduated cum laude from Pennsylvania State University in 2023, earning her degree in Organizational Leadership. In 2022, Anabel founded the New Chamber Ballet Young Patrons Club to widen the company’s audience engagement. Before beginning her professional career, she graduated from Miami City Ballet’s Pre- professional program.
Benjamin Bowman is a New York based ballet teacher, coach, repetiteur, and rehearsal director. Growing up in Winston-Salem, NC, Mr. Bowman was introduced to dance through a pilot outreach program launched by Robert Lindgren and Sonja Tyven at the North Carolina School of the Arts. After his relocation to Kansas City,
he continued his training at the American Dance Center,
the UMKC Conservatory, and the School of the Kansas City Ballet with Diana Adams, Una Kai and Todd Bolender. Mr. Bowman went on to the School of American Ballet with Stanley Williams, Richard Rapp and Andrei Kramarevsky and then the San Francisco Ballet School.
Professionally, Mr. Bowman has danced with the New York City Ballet, Twyla Tharp Dance Fort Worth Ballet, Kansas City Ballet and on Broadway in “Movin’ Out”, the hit Twyla Tharp/Billy Joel musical. Off-Broadway credits include Martha Clarke’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, “Shut Up, Sit Down and Eat”, and “The Tragedy of John” at Theater Row as well as summer-stock musicals at Casa Mañana, North Shore Music Theater, the Ogunquit Playhouse and the Cape Playhouse. The child of two educators, Mr. Bowman is passionate about teaching and has served on the faculties of Ballet Tech, Rosie’s Theater Kids, Eglevsky Ballet, Kanyok Arts Initiative, and other professional companies. As a repetiteur, Mr. Bowman has staged works for Twyla Tharp at the Nashville Ballet, the Washington Ballet, Company C, the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Wayne State and the Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. As a choreographer, he has created works for multiple schools and regional companies, and, most notably co-choreographing “Indoor Fireworks” for Company C Contemporary Ballet.
Pamela Alviar-Marquette is a Colombian native living in Queens, New York. Her early dance training began with the Landrum School of Dance. At the age of eight she was selected to study classical ballet at Eliot Feld’s prestigious School Ballet Tech. She continued her studies and love of dance at Purchase College where she graduated with a BFA in dance. Through the years she has continued to train and teach in the styles of Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and Lyrical.
She has danced professionally with Lexington Ballet, The Kevin Wynn Collection, and Eliot Feld’s Ballet Tech. Mrs. Alviar-Marquette has had the wonderful pleasure of performing in works by George Balanchine, Eliot Feld, Bill T. Jones, and Sir Kenneth MacMillian.
She has also worked with choreographers such as Francesca Harper, Betti-Jane Sills, Troy Powell, Kevin Wynn, Luis Dominguez, and Caridad Martinez. Her Repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Meshugana, Apple Pie, Patootie, Endsong, Half Time, and Behold the Man (choreographed by Eliot Feld), The Four Temperaments (choreographed by George Balanchine), D-Man in the Waters (choreographed by Bill T. Jones), and Concerto Pas de Deux (choreographed by Sir Kenneth MacMillian). Mrs. Alviar-Marquette has been a guest artist in Mexico City, Mexico for the Competition Interdanza and for Sawnee Ballet’s The Nutcracker in Cumming, Georgia.
Pamela has collaborated with Yon Burke and Evelyn Wheeler where they presented their work at the Mahaiwe Theater. She has taught numerous dance workshops with dance organizations like MPower Dance Workshops, Danzamerica and Sheertalent that have taken her across the US as well as internationally. She has appeared on the hit TV show Dance Moms on Lifetime as a guest judge and has been featured in Dance Magazine and Dance Teacher Magazine. Mrs. Alviar-Marquette has also appeared in Lise Friedman’s instructional book First Lessons in Ballet.
Daniella Cavaleri grew up dancing competitively in the New York area and has gone on to perform, teach and choreograph for the last 30 years. After graduating High School, she completed her freshman year at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance and then went onto dance with the Morgan Scott Ballet Company (formerly Joffrey II), her first of many professional jobs. Daniella continued her education by receiving a full scholarship to STEPS on Broadway and furthered her dance education at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, and other various choreography/teaching workshops. Mrs. Cavaleri has been lucky enough to work and study in many various areas of the entertainment industry. Credits for performance include: (Resident Choreographer) INDIA Franco Dragone Entertainment (Germany), America’s Got Talent (dancer), Radio City Christmas Spectacular NYC (ensemble/swing), Fosse (International /National Tour), Rolling Stones Tour, Mia Michaels R.A.W., Notario Dance Company (Assistant Choreographer), Morgan Scott Ballet (formerly Joffrey II), and Broadway Dances (DRA). Industrials/Media include America’s Got Talent, Usher, Walmart, Viacom, SONY, PBS EGG, Moulin Rouge, Mitisui Cruise Lines, Broadway’s Nothin Like a Dame, and for over 8 years ran the NYC Dance Teacher Summit Fashion Show.
When not performing she judges for regional and national competitions, as well as teaches and choreographs for various studios in the tri state area. Her students have been seen performing in: West Side Story Film (2021), Carousel (NYC), Cats (NYC), Hello Dolly (NYC), Newsies (NYC), So You Think You Can Dance, Radio City Christmas Spectacular (NYC and Tour) , The Grinch (NYC and Tour), White Christmas (NYC and Tour), Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Bye Bye Birdie, 101 Dalmatians, Annie (Tour) and many dance companies all over the world.
Mrs. Garbrandt is excited to return to the faculty of Eglevsky Ballet and share her love of dance with the students. Mrs. Garbrandt began her ballet training at the New Jersey School of Ballet. She then moved to New York City for her professional studies with the Joffrey Ballet School and also trained on a full scholarship with New York Theater Ballet. Mrs. Garbrandt has performed professionally with Ballet for Young Audiences and the Staten Island Ballet in productions designed specifically for children. Mrs. Garbrandt has been teaching ballet and elementary dance for over 20 years throughout New York, New Jersey and Long Island, including renowned schools such as STEPS on Broadway and Ballet Academy East.
In 2008 she assisted in the opening of the Long Island City School of Ballet where she helped build a thriving ballet program for hundreds of young dancers throughout Queens. During this time, Mrs. Garbrandt began studying with the Dance Educators Laboratory and increased her focus in early childhood dance. Mrs. Garbrandt is a loving mother to 3 daughters and also enjoys teaching Pure Barre on Long Island.
Mr. Glover hails from Brooklyn, NY, where he began his training at the Brooklyn Music School. He then continued his dance studies at Dance Theatre of Harlem and, subsequently, at the School of American Ballet, both on full scholarship. Mr. Glover began his professional career at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater dancing in The Four Temperaments, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Serenade. He danced with Colorado Ballet in Denver, performing in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Giselle, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dracula, and a world premiere by choreographer Rennie Harris. Richard also danced with several companies in London, including performances at English National Ballet and The Royal Opera House. He also appeared in a music video for music artist Asgeir, choreographed by Celia Rowlson-Hall. Richard recently served as Ballet Master and Company Manager at Brooklyn Ballet as well as Director of Programs for DanceLab NY.
Along with freelance performing, Mr. Glover teaches, coaches, and choreographs at various schools and companies including New York University, Joffrey Ballet School, Mark Morris, Martha Graham and the Juilliard School.
Margaret Kingsbury is originally from Canton, Ohio. She began her training at the Canton Ballet and has attended programs at the School of American Ballet, BalletX, and Carolina Ballet. Miss Kingsbury received her BFA in Dance with a minor in Social Justice Studies from Point Park University. Recently, she performed “Trombone” in Bob Fosse’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” choreographed by Bob Fosse, as a soloist in Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s “Shibuya Blues”, and as “Russian Girl” in George Balanchine’s “Serenade”.
Ms. Kingbury has also performed with Eglevsky Ballet as the lead Marzipan in Maurice Brandon Curry’s production of The Nutcracker.
Henry Steele Dillon was born and raised in Wollongong, NSW, Australia. He was an elite gymnast for 8 years, a national gold medalist 3 years in a row, and during his final years in gymnastics he began to make the transition to dance. Henry moved to the United States in 2012 to attend Point Park University, where he graduated with honors with a BFA in Modern and Jazz dance in 2016. While at Point Park he worked with choreographers: Lar Lubovitch, Mark Morris, Madboots Dance, Ronin Koresh, Jessica Hendricks, and many others.
After graduating, Henry danced professionally with Owen/Cox Dance Group, Texture Contemporary Ballet, and toured internationally with The Bad Boys of Ballet. Most recently, Henry spent five years a company member with Parsons Dance, where he notably performed the iconic solo “Caught” for several years and also acted as the company’s Rehearsal Director. During his time at Parsons, Henry danced leading roles in works by Trey McIntyre, Robert Battle, and Matthew Neenan.
Henry currently works as a dancer for the Metropolitan Opera, and a number of other dance companies in the U.S. . He is also a choreographer and educator in many different spaces across North America and Australia.
